MONUMENTS

The Church of Nuestra Señora de la Consolación is one of the most outstanding tourist attractions in the town.
With a great urban and historical value, this Gothic-Mudejar style monument attracts numerous visitors every year. Originally dating back to the 14th century, modifications were introduced two centuries later, and in the second half of the 18th century, new extensions were carried out which have brought it to its current state. From an urban planning point of view, the church, situated on one of the highest levels and flanked by open spaces, has become the socio-cultural centre of reference in El Pedroso, and it is also worth mentioning that the church contains movable goods made by outstanding artists such as Pedro Millán, Pedro de Villegas Marmolejo, Jerónimo Hernández and Juan Martínez Montañés.
